Two factory buildings from the late 19th - early 20th century were redesigned and a glass gallery was added. The real success of this restoration, according to the authors, is the preservation of a very beautiful brick finish. To do this, it took lengthy discussions with the attorney and the builders. The problem was in the pitiful condition of the building because the brick was very damaged. We even consulted Dutch specialists on methods of restoring brick buildings with the important factor of moisture. Our own experience of restoration has been of invaluable help to us. Restoring the brick finish is quite problematic, but it is not more expensive than putting stucco or putty, and certainly much more resistant. Obviously, the brick requires special care, but already any fa?ade requires a renovation every 5-10 years. In 2004, this building was recognized as the best business center project. Later, this approach to the old industrial constructions became fashionable: the brick maintained, the carpentry of dark color, of the grey structures.
